Over the last week, the Simplii team has helped thousands of clients by deferring payments on lending products, including mortgage payment deferrals of up to 6 months. We’re also working with our clients to improve cash flow through new loans or credit limit increases. This is in addition to the corporate donations and financial assistance that CIBC, our broader bank, is offering.

Our team is working as quickly as we can to meet client needs, including increasing contact centre staff to manage high call volume. We apologize if there are longer than usual wait times as we respond to each of our clients’ needs.

1. Can I defer payments on credit products?

2. How do I stop a payment?

It’s easy to stop a payment on a cheque through online banking.

3. Go to “Account services” and select “Stop payment.” 

4. Follow the instructions.

3. How do I set up direct deposit?

Set up is easy through online banking.

2. Select your No Fee Chequing Account. 

3. Choose “Void Cheque/Direct Deposit Info.” 

4. Follow the instructions.

4. I don’t want to touch point of sale terminals. How can I activate contactless payments on my bank card?

Your Simplii debit and credit cards are activated with tap functionality when issued for amounts up to $100 per tap with a daily limit of $200.
