>> Malania: I think this year has taught me how to slow down and really be conscious and present in my own time.
[Record playing with a marquee board behind it. There are two goals written on the board: 1. Adopt a dog. 2. Buy Dream Car. Simple!]

It’s been a process of understanding what we need versus what we want.
[Malania’s husband, Age, in the kitchen, preparing breakfast. Malania smiling at him.]
Age is my husband. We’ve been together for seventeen years.
[Malania sitting on her couch, speaking directly to the camera.]
We met in a nightclub. He was a DJ and I was the coat check girl.
[A wide shot of a city at sunrise. Vancouver, British Columbia. A kettle boiling. Malania taking the kettle off of the stove and bringing it over to the kitchen island.]
It’s tough saving in a city like Vancouver, where things are very expensive.
[Malania pouring hot water into a French press then pressing down the plunger to make coffee.]
This time in my life is all about making purposeful financial choices.

I had been saving up for a car for about a year now.

I’ve always bought used cars or we’ve shared a vehicle.

But this is a time in my life where I’m excited because I can afford to buy something that really reflects where I am right now in my life financially.

I think it’s really important to not make saving a huge stress in your life.
[Malania sitting on her couch, speaking directly to the camera.]
I think that having balance and having the ability to still enjoy your life is very important.
[Upbeat music playing. The outside of Malania’s house. Malania walking out the front door with a red jacket on, and Zephyr next to her. Malania and Zephyr running down the front stairs. Malania opening the car door and Zephyr jumping into the backseat. Cut to Malania sitting on her couch, speaking directly to the camera.]
Zephyr is a big part of why I decided I needed the car. We adopted him over a year ago and he has brought so much joy to my life.
[Malania driving in her car, with Zephyr in the backseat. She is looking at him in her rear-view mirror. Zephyr is looking at the road ahead. Drone shot of car driving through the forest. The music is building. Malania walking Zephyr at the park. Cut to Malania sitting on her couch, speaking directly to the camera.]
He also helps me get outside every day and enjoy nature, which I find is very therapeutic and it is a big part of my own self care.
[Malania and Zephyr at the beach. Zephyr chasing the ball that Malania threw and catching it mid-air.]
I love seeing him wild and free, running around and just living his best life.
[Groovy song playing. Malania’s high heeled foot stepping out onto the sidewalk. Malania closing the car door and walking down the street with a coffee in hand. Malania entering a building. Malania walking to her desk while scrolling on her phone. Cut to Malania sitting on her couch, speaking directly to the camera. I’ve worked very hard in my life and in my career to make something for myself and to have some security.

I don’t think saving should be so stressful. I think you really need to have a long term plan and I really think that you need to have balance with it, because you still need to enjoy your life.
