Set up CRA direct deposit

A direct deposit is a convenient way to get your CRA payments and benefits. Funds will be deposited directly into your account.

To set up direct deposit payments with the CRA, you have to complete the registration form on Simplii Financial™ Online Banking or our mobile banking app. To access the form on online banking, select “More Services” from the left navigation menu. Then, select “Direct Deposit with CRA.” To access the form on mobile banking, open the navigation menu and select “Direct deposit with CRA.”

To be eligible, you must have:

• Filed at least 1 income tax return;
• A Social Insurance Number (SIN) that doesn’t start with 0; and
• A Simplii Financial No Fee Chequing Account

If the information you entered on the registration form matches what the CRA has on file, it should take 1 to 2 business days.

To change your information, sign on to Simplii Financial™ Online Banking or our mobile banking app and submit another form. The latest information will replace what you submitted earlier.

If you close your account, you'll have to deregister from direct deposits with the CRA or set up another account. Once you set up a new account, the latest information will replace the information you entered before.
